Privacy Policy

Framelume collects no personal data. Your photos and videos stay on your device, and nothing is sent to us.
This policy covers the Framelume app for iPhone, iPad and Mac, made by TUNA Corp (“we”). If you have a question about it, write to tunacorp.app@gmail.com.
What we collect
Nothing. Framelume has:
- no account and no sign-in,
- no analytics,
- no ads,
- no tracking SDKs,
- no crash reporting.
Framelume does not collect personal data, and nothing about you or your use of the app is sent to us.
Your photos and videos
All editing — cropping, removal (including AI removal), watermarks and metadata changes — runs on your device. Your photos and videos are never uploaded.
Files you bring into the app are copied into the app’s own storage on your device. You can remove them in the app, and they are removed when you delete the app.
When the app uses the network
Framelume connects to the internet only in these cases, and only when you start them:
Downloading the AI removal model
AI removal uses a model (LaMa, about 196 MB) that is not built into the app. It is downloaded once, only when you tap to download it, from GitHub (github.com/hoangvunam/framelume-models). GitHub receives a normal download request, which includes your IP address, and handles it under GitHub’s privacy statement. No photo, video or personal information is sent.
Searching for a place
In the iPhone and iPad app, when you type a place name into the location field in Info (metadata), the app searches with Apple’s MapKit. That search text goes to Apple and is handled under Apple’s privacy policy.
Setting up ProPainter on Mac
The Mac app offers an optional ProPainter video removal setup. If you choose to set it up, it downloads open-source components (ProPainter, PyTorch and model weights) from GitHub and PyPI. Those services receive normal download requests, including your IP address.
The app makes no other network connections.
Photos access on iPhone and iPad
- Add to Photos is used to save your edits to your library.
- Full Photos access is asked for only so that “Replace Original” can replace an item you chose. A replaced item can be reverted in the Photos app.
You can change Photos access at any time in the Settings app.
Metadata
Framelume lets you view, edit or remove the Exif, IPTC and GPS (location) metadata in your files. Whatever metadata you keep is written only into the file you export; it is not sent anywhere.
Children
Framelume is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
Mac app
The Mac app follows the same principles: no account, no tracking, no data collection, and all editing on your Mac. Its only network use is the optional downloads described above.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
